Currently, the university does not run exclusive on-line course on its own. However, NSOU has developed two MOOCs for SWAYAM platform which is an initiative of MHDR, GoI. One is hosted by UGC (4-Credit PG course) and other is being hosted by IGNOU (Non-credit certificate course). The courses have been developed as per guidelines of SWAYAM as prescribed by MHRD which is based on 4-quadrant approach. In case of PG-MOOC, Pen & Paper method and in case of IGNOU-MOOC, CBT method is followed for final examination.
The university provides non-print materials as a supplementary academic content to its learners. As far as the non-print course material is concerned, the university has taken initiatives to develop the A/V lectures on course specific modules as per syllabus. The digitized form of course materials are also made available in the NSOU OER repository, on the university website and on dedicated LMS. The content is also made available through mobile App to facilitate e-learning.
Generally, the guidelines provided in Annexure VII of UGC (ODL) Regulations 2017 are followed for development of non-print materials.
