The volume takes up the historical fact of women being at the receiving end of both overt and covert forms of violence in different arenas of social existence, and formulates a discourse that reviews such violence from macro and micro levels. This volume has two broad sections - 'Historical Discourses' and 'Exploring Violence', where a total of sixteen research papers from academics of different disciplines from across the country are put together.
