Title of the MOOC:Fundamentals of Cyber Security
(The course has been adopted from Uttarakhand Open University (vide letter No. UOU/SCS & IT/OER/2160 dated 12/2/2019).
About the Course:
Cyber space is a very wide term which includes computers, networks, software, data storage devices, internet, websites, e-mails and even electronic devices such as cell phones, ATM machines etc. The course is intended to give an idea on cyber security. The course is divided into twenty four units which include various aspects of cyber space, cyber security technique etc.
The law governing all the instruments included in the cyber space is called Cyber law. Cybercrime is the latest and perhaps the most complicated problem in the cyber world. Cybercrimes are unlawful acts where computer is used either as a tool, or a target, or both. The enormous growth in electronic commerce (e-commerce), online transaction and learning on digital platform has led to a phenomenal spurt in incidents of cyber-crime.

Know the various aspects of cyber laws
Receive a certificate on completion of required activities.

Certificate of Completion: Requires 70% on the assignment, participation in at least 5 discussion forums (A fees for assignments may be applicable).
