Title of the Course:ICT for Educators
Rationale of the Course:
ICT in education improves engagement and knowledge retention. When ICT is integrated into lessons, students become more engaged in their work. This is because technology provides different opportunities to make it more fun and enjoyable in terms of teaching the same things in different ways. ICT can be a blurry context, if not approached with proper guidance and practical training. Taking part in this ICT course tailored for teachers and other educational staff, one will gain concrete ways to integrate ICT and empower others, and support education in a school environment. The general aim of this course is to foster excellence in education by improving ICT skills and empowering the teachers, headmasters, and school staff to use & integrate ICT in school education.
Course Objectives: This course has a flexible approach-
To provide foundational knowledge on introduction to Computer, Windows OS & MS-Office Software
To familiarize with the Fundamentals of Internet & ICT
To up-skill ICT for Communication, Collaboration and Support
To introduce the concept of OER & foster ethical use of ICT in Teaching & Learning

Fees:
Registration Fees of Rs. 500/- are required to pay at the time of registration/admission and those who will opt for a Certificate of Completion are required to pay Rs. 500/- for evaluation, assessment, and certificate before examination. (Payment to be made online only).

Certificate of Completion:
Requires 70% in the final assessment, and participation in at least 5 discussion forums.
Certificate will be issued by the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) under the aegis of School of Vocational Studies, Netaji Subhas Open University.
